What Are Implementation Groups?
Implementation Groups (Russian: внедренческие группы) is a small-group classification that divides the 32 types into 4 by how new things ── technologies and ideals ── are implemented in society and made to take root. While Project Groups express "what kind of tasks one undertakes," Implementation Groups express "how one sends out into the world what one has produced."
The classification is determined by two axes: the object of implementation (Logic / Ethics) and the manner of implementation (Process / Result). Logic targets technologies and systems; Ethics targets ideals and customs. Result introduces locally, breaking through at one point; Process disseminates broadly and systematically.
About the SourceGulenko, "Waves of Aging and Renewal" (1996)Open
Implementation Groups were described in V. Gulenko's paper "Waves of Aging and Renewal" (1996). The primary source defines the 4 groups by Logic / Ethics × Process / Result, characterizing them as: "implementing, introducing, and pushing through is the masculine role; cultivating conditions, assimilating into society, and stabilizing is the feminine role," giving each group qualities of masculinity / femininity and strategy / tactics. In Model K, Process / Result is determined by Extroversion × Questioning (= the Q/D axis), so the same classical type has Q‑form and D‑form belonging to different groups, with each group consisting of 8 of the 32 types. This Association replaces the primary source's gender metaphor with neutral names based on the object and manner of implementation: Technology Introduction, Technology Invention, Ideal Introduction, Social Establishment.
The Four Implementation Groups
| Group | English | Defining Axes | Position in Source | Members |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Technology Invention | Technology Invention | Logic × Process | Source: feminine→masculine, tactical | 8 |
| Social Establishment | Social Establishment | Ethics × Process | Source: most feminine, strategic | 8 |
| Technology Introduction | Technology Introduction | Logic × Result | Source: most masculine, strategic | 8 |
| Ideal Introduction | Ideal Introduction | Ethics × Result | Source: masculine→feminine, tactical | 8 |
The Two Defining Axes
| Axis | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Logic / Ethics | Whether the object of implementation is technology, systems, and efficiency (Logic), or ideals, values, and social customs (Ethics) |
| Process / Result | Whether one disseminates broadly and systematically (Process), or breaks through and introduces locally at one point (Result) |
Model K Sub-classification ── Extroversion / Introversion
Each Implementation Group is further divided into two by the direction of energy (Extroversion / Introversion). Extroverted types act outwardly, moving the field; introverted types support, regulate, and deepen from within. This division applies to all 4 groups, subdividing Implementation Groups overall into 8 sub-groups. Each group page explains the extroverted and introverted roles of that group.
※ Sub-classification indicates tendencies at the group level. In classical theory, this division splits each group into 2-type pairs, but in Model K, including Q/D variants, each pole contains 4 types.
Internal Structure ── Average Comfort 42.9
The 8 types of each Implementation Group are not a tightly-bound group sharing values like a Quadra. Alongside Compass, Belonging, and Kindred relations, the group also includes tense relations such as Quasi-Identity and Codependency, with an average COMFORT of 42.9 ── moderate. It is a practical gathering of people in different positions bound by heading toward "the same implementation role."
