The character of this group
The Doctrine Block Group brings together a duality pair from β and a duality pair from −β — four types sharing the L5 upper-function attributes Humanitarian / Pragmatic club and Linear-Assertive / Balanced-Stable. Inside the group, the metabolic cycle Ideal ⇄ Discipline turns continuously.
Two opposing value-worlds (β and −β) cohabit, but the quadra dichotomies (陽気⇔深刻・賢明⇔果敢・民主⇔貴族) cancel out — what remains is the mixed character of "The Mentor raises the ideal and ignites (generation) → the Executive drops it into stages and implements it (storage) → the Philosopher weighs its meaning and returns it to information (information generation) → the Inspector sets it as discipline and returns it to the next (information accumulation). This is Doctrine’s cycle." Read in one breath: each of the four types takes a position in the cycle and spins this single round of labor.
Two value-worlds inside the group
The group simultaneously holds β and −β. The three quadra dichotomies are exact opposites and cancel inside the group, so neither quadra color survives — only the shared club and temperament ground remain.
Three shared traits — the linkage axes
What remains after neutralization is the three attributes the L5 upper function carries: club, temperament and questim/declatim. These connect same-attribute pairs and shape the group's character.
In Doctrine, "Humanitarian = Questim" and "Pragmatic = Declatim" coincide. Meaning is questioned from the humanitarian side; discipline is set from the pragmatic side — the form of grounding ideals in practice.
Members — four types and their roles
The four types of Doctrine take positions of Leader, Implementer, Proofreader and Stabilizer in the metabolic cycle.
L5 upper functions of the four types
| Type | Value block | L5 upper function | Club | Temperament | Q/D |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mentor EIE-Q | +Fe-p × −Ni-c | Fe-Ni-Qi "Ideal & agitation" | Humanitarian | Linear | Questim |
| Executive LSE-D | −Te-p × +Si-c | Te-Si-Di "Pragmatics & ordering" | Pragmatic | Linear | Declatim |
| Philosopher EII-Q | −Fi-p × +Ne-c | Fi-Ne-Qe "Ethics & meaning" | Humanitarian | Balanced | Questim |
| Inspector LSI-D | +Ti-p × −Se-c | Ti-Se-De "Discipline & execution" | Pragmatic | Balanced | Declatim |
Metabolic cycle
The Mentor raises the ideal and ignites (generation) → the Executive drops it into stages and implements it (storage) → the Philosopher weighs its meaning and returns it to information (information generation) → the Inspector sets it as discipline and returns it to the next (information accumulation). This is Doctrine’s cycle.
Within-group compatibility map
Placing the four types at the corners of a square gives a clean compatibility map. The diagonals are duality (matched values, comfort 100); the top and bottom edges are role (same temperament, masked ego); the left and right edges are distance (same club, opposite values). Each face links to its type page; each relation label links to its detail page.
The six inner relations in detail
The "opposite values" tension carried by distance and role underpins the group-level neutralization. The presence of dualizing third parties softens that tension.
Where Doctrine appears
