SOCIONICS ASSOCIATION OF JAPAN

From self-understanding and mutual understanding to harmony and progress in society.

Differences in how people receive, judge and communicate information should be treated as clues for understanding—not grounds for labels or selection. We research, teach and practice Socionics responsibly.

WHAT IS SOCIONICS

A framework for observing how information moves between people.

Socionics examines differences in how people take in information, make judgments and communicate. It offers a vocabulary for understanding why the same words may be received differently.

Our Model K extends this framework to 32 types and relationship patterns. Type is not a verdict or measure of ability; it is a hypothesis for self-understanding and mutual understanding. It never replaces lived experience or context.

OUR WORK

From knowledge to responsible practice.

The Association connects theory, public education and real-world use while keeping their roles distinct.

01

Research and knowledge

Organize theory, history and source materials, and make them accessible across languages.

02

Self and mutual understanding

Through Le Musée, translate theory into a careful process of understanding oneself, others and everyday dialogue.

03

Organizational dialogue

Apply the same perspective through training, team support, organizational development and the Team Lens platform.

OUR PRINCIPLE

Understand people. Do not sort them.

Socionics should expand dialogue, not close possibilities. We do not recommend using type alone for hiring selection, personnel evaluation or deterministic judgments about aptitude and relationships.

01

Not one label

Observe Core, learned Subtype, Accent and situational Mode without reducing a person to any one layer.

02

Not a final answer

Treat a result as a hypothesis to revisit through lived experience, context and dialogue.

03

Not good or bad

Describe what happens between people instead of deciding who fits, succeeds or belongs.

04

Understanding has a purpose

Move from self-understanding to mutual understanding, and from dialogue toward harmony and progress in society.

ASSOCIATION PROJECT

ONE PIECE CARD × Socionics Model K

An Association-supervised project examining diverse ONE PIECE CARD play styles through the Model K framework. Results are presented as one perspective for self-understanding and mutual understanding—not for evaluating people or determining aptitude.

Supervised and developed jointly with the Socionics Association of Japan.
