42nd President of the United States (1993–2001). A practitioner of the "Third Way," he achieved the rare combination of economic prosperity and a budget surplus. He contributed to the Northern Ireland peace process and the Oslo Accords while also experiencing the Monica Lewinsky scandal and impeachment proceedings. After leaving office he continued international humanitarian work.
