He developed fundamental critiques of modern Christian morality and rationalism through "God is dead," the "will to power," "eternal recurrence," and the "Übermensch" in Thus Spoke Zarathustra. His influence on literature, art, and political thought was enormous — and profoundly ambiguous, given his posthumous appropriation by the Nazis. One of the most consequential and dangerous thinkers of the modern era.
