Herbert Marcuse
ILE-D "선각자" Philosopher · German-American · 20th c.German-born philosopher, Frankfurt School (1898–1979). In One-Dimensional Man (1964) he argued that affluent consumer society castrates critical thinking. The spiritual father of the 1968 student movement — his fusion of Marx and Freud opened the field of critical theory.
