He presented two entirely distinct philosophical systems — the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus with its "whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent," and the language-game theory of the later Philosophical Investigations. This radical self-transformation positions him as one of the 20th century's greatest philosophers.
