What Is the Alpha Quadra?

The Alpha Quadra consists of four types: ILE-Q (Seeker), SEI-D (Mediator), ESE-D (Enthusiast), and LII-Q (Analyst). The four types within the same quadra share common "valued functions" — the kinds of information they consider most important.

The valued functions shared by the Alpha Quadra are: +Ne (Creativity & Innovation), +Si (Comfort & Well-being), -Fe (Harmony & Emotion), and -Ti (Structure & Truth). This combination gives rise to a culture that simultaneously values exploring unknown possibilities and maintaining emotional harmony between people.

The atmosphere of the Alpha Quadra is like someone saying "Hey, isn't this interesting?" and everyone jumping in with that same lighthearted energy.

Alpha Quadra Culture and Values

Alpha Quadra groups tend to have an atmosphere where humor and intellectual curiosity coexist. There is a shared sense of "seriously exploring fun things," where conversation naturally expands and ideas fly freely.

At the same time, the Alpha Quadra tends to have a resistance to authority and coercion. They naturally ask, "Why must it be done that way?" The quadra that stands at the opposite pole in terms of valued functions is the Anti-Alpha Quadra (-Alpha). -Alpha values +Te (Pragmatism & Economy), +Fi (Morality & Duty), -Se (Victory & Dominance), and -Ni (Crisis & Imagination), holding a worldview that emphasizes practicality and personal ethics — distinct from Alpha.

Role in Society

In Augusta's theory, each quadra plays a specific role in the lifecycle of society. The Alpha Quadra serves as the "Quadra of Beginnings," planting the seeds of new ideas, cultures, and movements. It is the power to transform formless possibilities into something people can enjoy.
