Giovanni Falcone
ESI-Q "Judge" Prosecutor · Italian · 20th c.Italian prosecutor (1939–1992). Fighting at the frontline against the Sicilian Mafia (Cosa Nostra), he achieved the landmark Maxi Trial (1986–87) convicting 475 Mafia members. Assassinated in the Capaci bombing in 1992 along with his wife and three bodyguards. His colleague Paolo Borsellino was killed two months later. Their deaths shocked Italy into sustained anti-Mafia commitment and their sacrifice became the foundation of modern Italian justice reform.
Leading Function-Fi-p (Compassion & Consideration)
"The most revolutionary thing in Sicily is to apply the law" — justice as an inner moral obligation. The basis for not retreating despite knowing death was certain was not systematic ideology but the personal -Fi-p moral obligation.
Creative Function+Se-c (Reality & Common Sense)
"Follow the money" as the practical investigative method. Accumulating real evidence — pentiti (informants), bank records, judicial documents. Thorough realistic risk management through bunker offices and armoured vehicles.
Vulnerable Function 1-Ne-p weak (Paradox & Insight)
Weak -Ne-p: concentrating on "accumulating evidence tonight" as direct investigative obligation rather than abstract structural analysis of "how mafia organisations work" — evidence of -Ne-p weakness.
Vulnerable Function 2+Ti-c weak (Precision & Thoroughness)
Weak +Ti-c: consistently prioritising investigative practice of accumulating on-the-ground evidence over constructing legal theory and criminology as a systematic framework — evidence of +Ti-c weakness.
Quadra / Temperament / Club
Quadra: Gamma Quadra (Market) — at the frontline of the γ competitive power structure of the Mafia, countering not with power but with personal moral obligation and accumulated evidence. "Loneliness leads to death" showing the isolation of maintaining principles in the γ world.
Temperament: Balanced-Stable temperament: navigating assassination warnings from the Mafia, obstruction from within the Justice Ministry, and isolated investigation — maintaining a steady investigative pace of "accumulating evidence" until the end.
Club: Socialite Club: realising the mission of fighting the Mafia through multiple social connections — the anti-Mafia prosecution team (iron bond with Paolo Borsellino), international investigative cooperation with the FBI, Sicily's honest citizen network.
Worldview & Attitude
"The Mafia can be defeated by applying the law" — optimistic legal conviction. A worldview that sees structural dangers and trusts in the power of evidence-based justice.
Attitude toward Change: Executing the Maxi Trial as a realistic transformation plan — a practitioner of staged, evidence-based anti-Mafia transformation.
