フランスの小説家・劇作家（1910〜1986年）。孤児院から窃盗・男娼を経て「花のノートルダム」「バルコン」「黒人たち」などを著した。サルトルの弁護で恩赦を得た後現代演劇の革命的傑作を次々と生み出した。晩年はPLO（パレスチナ解放機構）への支持を公言した「悪の美学」の詩人。
