Edgar Allan Poe
IEI-Q "空想作家" Poet / Author · American · 19th c.American poet and author (1809–1849). He pioneered the genres of horror, fantasy, and detective fiction with "The Fall of the House of Usher," "The Gold Bug," and "The Murders in the Rue Morgue." Alcohol-dependent and poverty-stricken throughout his life, he died mysteriously at 40. Virtually unrecognised in America during his lifetime, he was championed by French Symbolists and became one of the most influential writers in world literature.
