Benito Mussolini

SLE-D "Conqueror" Fascist Dictator · Italian · 20th c.

Italian Fascist dictator (1883–1945). The originator of the term and concept "Fascism." In 1922 he seized power through the March on Rome and transformed Italy into a totalitarian state. Allied with Hitler, he brought Italy into World War II and was ultimately executed by partisans. The founder of political Fascism — a figure whose methods were replicated across the world.

Leading Function-Se-p (Victory & Dominance)

Complete ideological transformation from socialist to fascist — "I change positions for victory" as -Se-p pragmatism. Stepping forward as "Duce (leader)" — the existence of the charismatic commander at the front as the declaration of -Se-p dominance.

Creative Function+Ti-c (Precision & Thoroughness)

Building the "Fascist Third Way" as a thought system — "reorganising existing ideologies for my own strategy" as logical precision. Designing the corporate state institutionally and building syndicalism (cooperative organisation) as a systematic alternative.

Vulnerable Function 1-Fi-p weak (Compassion & Consideration)

Weak -Fi-p: "the people move as a herd — no need to understand them as individuals." Using poison gas in the Ethiopian invasion, oppression in the Libyan colony. No emotional bond with subordinates; abandoning them the moment they lost usefulness.

Vulnerable Function 2+Ne-c weak (Hypothesis & Imagination)

Weak +Ne-c: the alliance with Germany — dragged into war against Britain and America without reading the long-term consequences. The grand vision of "restoring the Roman Empire" proclaimed without concrete long-term design.

Quadra / Temperament / Club

Quadra: Beta Quadra (Empire) — "Fascism" as the 20th-century version of Beta's "imperial order, hierarchy, and mission conviction." The yearning for a place on the "stage of history" driving all action.

Temperament: Flexible-Maneuvering temperament: from Fascist militia through alliance with the military, coexistence with the king, to alliance with Germany — rapidly changing strategy to maintain power. Instinctively sensing when crowds would excite and managing them.

Club: Pragmatist Club — using emotional charismatic speeches while governing the state consistently through "organisation, institution, and economic control." Sports, agriculture, industry — all about "managing the huge national organisation."

Worldview & Attitude

"Nation, people, historical mission" — collective Beta conviction combined with acute structural danger awareness.

Attitude toward Change: Executing the Fascist revolution as a realistic plan. Allied with Hitler but outmanoeuvred — a case study in pragmatism without long-term vision.
