Extraversion / Introversion

DEFINITION

Definition

Extraversion takes the object itself as its reference point. Introversion refers to internal representations or internal states. This is separate from sociability or willingness to speak up.

You can't judge just by the amount of conversation you have or how many people you socialize with.

Extraversion

The point of reference for understanding is placed in the object, person, or event itself. Explanations tend to include the characteristics of the object and try to share “what the object is like.”

  • In your impressions of the work, highlight the structure and features that appear in the work.
  • When we talk about people, we focus on the qualities and actions we find in them.
This object has these characteristics.

If we tend to place the reference point on the subject's side, we may overlook the differences in how we perceive things from our explanation.

Introversion

We grasp the subject by referring to our inner images, understandings, and sensations. Even the same thing appears as a way to check how it is positioned within yourself.

  • Explain the relationship between the work and the images and meanings that arise within you.
  • Restate how you received the other person's words based on your own understanding.
In my mind, this is how I see it.

If you only rely on internal understanding, you may have fewer opportunities to re-accept changes in the subject itself.
